With panda cub set for public debut, Ueno Zoo may take lead on smoking ban
Tokyo's Ueno Zoo is contemplating a complete smoking ban before female giant panda cub Xiang Xiang goes on public view in December — the first Tokyo zoo to do so, its operator said.

Giant panda cub born at Ueno zoo named Xiang Xiang
Tokyo Gov. Yuriko Koike announced Sept. 25 that the new giant panda cub born at the Ueno Zoological Gardens in Tokyo has officially been named Xiang Xiang.
