Hyogo woman finds ¥1.9 million in used furniture item; police seek owner of the cash
A woman who bought secondhand furniture at a recycling shop in Nishinomiya, Hyogo Prefecture, earlier this month found ¥1.9 million in the item, and police are looking for the owner of the cash.

Great War cost Europe a century
There was absolutely nothing noble about U.S. President Woodrow Wilson's intervention in Europe during the carnage of 1917. It led to a peace of vengeful victors, triumphant nationalists and avaricious imperialists — when the war would have otherwise ended in a bedraggled peace of mutually exhausted bankruptcies and discredited war parties.

Oklahoma farmer reunited with lost phone found in Japan grain mill
An Oklahoma farmer is celebrating the return of a cell phone lost in October and found nine months later in Japan after it took a trip in a grain shipment down the Mississippi River, through the Panama Canal and across the Pacific Ocean.
