Ran is a bashful beauty who's up for hanging out
A petite calico with gorgeous golden green eyes, Ran came to ARK when she was just a kitten. She is now 3 years old and patiently waiting in the shelter to get noticed, holed up in a world that offers very little outside of the bare necessities.

Haru the cat is bound to become one of your favorite things
Looking at Haru, a sweet tortoiseshell born in late 2007, you may be reminded of Margaret Keane's paintings of big-eyed, sad children that became famous in the 1960s. Haru is a little thing, just over 3.5 kilograms. Her green eyes do seem disproportionately large for her small body.

Issa is a 6-year-old American curl weighing in at a hefty 5 kilograms. She’s new to ARK and was given up because her former owners found it hard to cope with being in a new country, not speaking the language and having a new baby.

Chira is a chill cat looking for a place to spend her golden years
Chira the cat came to the Animal Refuge Kansai (ARK) shelter with her siblings just a few months after the Great East Japan Earthquake of March 2011, a decade ago. She is now 19 years old, which is a grand age for a cat.

Hamo is the perfect complement to a friendly and quiet home

There's more than one way to a cat's heart
This gorgeous green-eyed fellow’s name is Mitsuo. He was rescued as one of eight kittens back in 2017 and though his kind rescuer was able to find homes for his seven siblings, Mitsuo was the odd one out.

Odairi is hoping for a pal to hang with
Odairi is a lovable tabby who had to be given up when his owner became ill. A "dignified and mature cat" at 12 years old, Odairi is currently in foster care and, after losing his best feline friend, is in serious need of some love and lots of one-on-one attention.
