Here's to the tabby cat that brightened up one family's home
The gorgeous tabby cat Tournesol was first featured here in June 2015. We are happy to report that he was adopted and has been living in Hyogo Prefecture with the Matsumoto family.

An Akita dog finds her pack
The big, beautiful Capella, an Akita dog who has been rechristened "Sumi," was first featured here in February 2018. She has now been adopted and lives in Kanagawa with Mika Iwamoto; her husband, Setsuo; and their other two dogs, Sena and Saku.

This tabby is a real doll when it comes to being a friend
This handsome round-eyed gray tabby came to ARK in March when his owner became ill, and one of the things that stood out about him was his unusual name, Odairi.

Leon is a dog looking for a second chance
For most of his life, Leon had lived in a playpen in a room. It was his world, his life, the only thing he really knew. That world vanished when he was dropped off at the shelter three years ago at the age of 6. He had no social skills and the strain weighed heavy on this little fellow.

Sue is looking forward to sunny days
It was a rainy August day in 2017 when Sue was found. She was just a kitten and terrified of people, but her rescuer was able to bring her to ARK. Sue was so timid she wouldn't let anyone near her. Nearly two years later, with life much sunnier, Sue is a different girl.

A family that found a blessing in Wenceslas
The beautiful Wenceslas was first featured in Adopt Me! in November 2017. He'd been rescued from the mountains of Yamaguchi Prefecture along with tens of other dogs.

This pup named Brexit is something everyone can agree on
Even though he's only about 2 years old, this sunny little fellow has had a lot of darkness in his life. He also has the unusual name of Brexit, but no matter what your politics are, the name reflects "change" of a sort, the kind this pup has seen since coming to ARK last December.

The very attractive Kasa was born to a stray mother on an apartment balcony and came to ARK as a wee kitten. Though it's a big step up from the balcony, she is now nearly 2 years old and still without a home. Why?!
