Gamba Osaka forward Ryotaro Meshino's transfer to English Premier League club Manchester City is ready to go through, the J. League first-division club said Friday.
The 21-year-old Meshino, who was born in Osaka, came up through Gamba's youth system and made his J1 debut last year.
This season, he has three goals in 12 games. According to Gamba, Meshino is already in England.
Manchester City is looking to win its third straight championship in a season that began this weekend.
