World No. 5 Kei Nishikori on Saturday claimed to be fully fit after recovering from a gluteal muscle injury suffered this month and is raring to go at the Swiss Indoors.

Nishikori, who pulled out of the Japan Open in the second round on Oct. 5 and was forced to skip the Shanghai Masters a week later, is eager to make a strong comeback at this tournament, where he was runner-up in 2011.

"I believe it (the injury) has healed 100 percent," Nishikori said. "It didn't linger on and I resumed training after a week or so. There are no physical issues at the moment.

Five years ago, Nishikori lost in straight sets to local favorite Roger Federer in the final. Nishikori missed last year's tournament with a shoulder injury, but this year can aim to add points in his ATP ranking.

"I'll try to finish as high as I can. I must be in the top four (in the rankings) if I want to go far at the Grand Slam and other big tournaments, and that's something I'll keep in my sights," said the 26-year-old.

"Good players are here so the matches won't be easy, but I'll try to win the title."
