Bantamweight Naoko Fujioka and minimumweight Nao Ikeyama each defended her WBO title on Monday.
The 40-year-old Fujioka, who captured her third different weight class when she won the bantamweight crown last year, defeated countrywoman Shindo Go in a unanimous decision in their 10-round title fight. Fujioka who was making her first defense improved to 15-0 with one draw and six wins by knockout.
On the same card at Tokyo's Korakuen Hall, Ikeyama retained her title for the fourth time with a draw in her 10-rounder against Saemi Hanagata. The draw left the 46-year-old Ikeyama's record at 9-2 with one draw and one win by knockout.
