Kei Nishikori's unbelievable tweener lob at August's Rogers Cup in Montreal was named the best play of the year on Tuesday in a fan poll on the ATP World Tour website.

With Nishikori at the net, David Goffin reached the Japanese star's drop shot and drove him out of the court with a lob. With his back to his opponent, Nishikori lobbed the ball back between his legs. The Belgian could only stand and watch as the ball floated high over his head and hit the line.

Fifty-four percent of voters selected Nishikori's play over a three-shot sequence by Switzerland's Roger Federer.
