The Sendai 89ers ended the Hamamatsu Higashimikawa Phoenix's 11-game winning streak on Saturday night, defeating the defending champions 75-64.
Former Phoenix star Wendell White had 20 points and 11 rebounds for Sendai (16-5), and Jamal Boykin chipped in with 19 points and five steals. Fumiya Sato added 17 points and Takehiko Shimura handed out six assists.
Terrance Woodbury led Hamamatsu (15-4) with 16 points and Kejuan Johnson scored 13. Reggie Warren finished with 12 points and nine boards.
