Power forward Julian Mavunga had 36 points and 14 rebounds and Masahiro Kano made six steals to propel the Shiga Lakestars to a 73-63 victory over the Tokyo Cinq Reves on Friday night in the bj-league.
Shiga (12-5) outscored the hosts 44-29 in the second half in Musashino.
Jeff Parmer was the Lakestars' only other double-digit scorer with 13 points. He also grabbed 11 rebounds. Teammates Yutaka Yokoe and Shuto Mizoguchi each had six points.
For Tokyo (1-18), Kodai Takahashi had 14 points, while John Florveus and Tomoyuki Shinzato scored 13 apiece.
89ers 106, Lightning 91
In Hiroshima, Sendai dominated on the boards and finished with six double-digit scorers to win for the second time in as many days against the hosts.
The 89ers (15-5) out-rebounded Hiroshima 61-31, with Wendell White and Jamal Boykin each grabbing 14 boards. Terrance Shannon added 13 rebounds.
White scored 21 points for Sendai, including 9 of 10 from inside the 3-point arc. Shannon had 14 points, while Takehiko Shimura and Manato Kikuchi both had 13. Boykin chipped in with 12 points and seven assists.
Shimura dished out six assists and picked up three steals.
Sendai shot 34-for-50 from 2-point range.
Andre Murray led the Lightning (1-17) with 28 points and Adam Herman had 24. Shuji Takei contributed 19 points.
Hiroshima shot 19-for-20 at the free-throw line.
The 89ers took a 50-37 lead into the third quarter.
