With their first preseason game just days away, the Chicago Bulls have made final additions to their training camp roster. On Monday, they signed former Yokohama B-Corsairs guard Marcus Simmons.
The 198-cm Simmons suited up for Yokohama during the 2011-12 and 2013-14 seasons, helping the fledgling bj-league club reach the Final Four in its first season under then-coach Reggie Geary. In his second stint with the club, Simmons contributed 12.5 points, 5.0 rebounds and 1.2 steals in 34 games.
A former USC standout, Simmons was the Pac-12 Conference Defensive Player of the Year for the 2010-11 campaign.
Simmons suited up for the NBA Development League's Fort Wayne Mad Ants (Indiana Pacers' affiliate) last season. He averaged 4.0 points and 2.7 rebounds in 41 games.
