The Japan national team overwhelmed India at the FIBA Asia Women's Championship on Sunday in Wuhan, China, winning 131-31 in a Group A game.
Six players scored in double figures for Japan, including Mio Shinozaki, who had 25 points on 10-for-13 shooting, and Mika Kurihara, who poured in 19. Japan shot 17-for-33 from 3-point range and outscored India 68-10 in the second half.
Japan, the defending tournament champion, improved to 2-0.
India, which fell to 0-2, turned the ball over 36 times.
