Japan international Yuya Osako struck off the bench in injury time as Cologne beat Stuttgart 3-1 to start its Bundesliga season on Sunday.
Osako came on in the 54th minute for Milos Jojic and finished a counterattack in the 92nd minute to put the win beyond doubt for Peter Stoger's men.
"It's something I can build on for the next game," said Osako, whose side hosts Wolfsburg next weekend. "It's only the beginning. I need to keep this up."
