Once again Japan and the United States will fight each other for the world championship of American football.
World No. 3 Japan (2-1) defeated fourth-ranked Mexico (1-2) 35-7 on Wednesday at Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium in Canton, Ohio, in International Federation of American Football's world championship action.
"All of my players, coaches and team staff did a great job. We could play the game pretty much we planned," Japan coach Kiyoyuki Mori said. "The championship game will be one of the rare chances for us to show our football to American fans at the venue where the pro football started. We, as coaches, will support the players and hope for them to play their hearts out."
