Yuko Oga is returning to the WBJL to play for the Toyota Antelopes, according to published reports this week.
The 32-year-old veteran guard, a Yamagata native, helped lead the Japan national team to the 2013 FIBA Asian Championship for Women title, its first continental title in 43 years.
In 2014, Oga was a key performer for Shanxi Xing Rui Flam as the team captured its second straight Women's Chinese Basketball Association crown.
A longtime member of the WJBL's JX (previously called JOMO) Sunflowers, the 170-cm Oga was named five times to the league's Best Five team. She also played for the WNBA's Phoenix Mercury in 2008 and represented Japan at the 2004 Athens Olympics.
