After a season away, Kazuo Nakamura, now 74, is launching the next chapter in his long head coaching career. He will become the Niigata Albirex BB's new head coach, multiple sources have told The Japan Times.
Nakamura left the Akita Northern Happinets after three seasons at the helm in May 2014, coaching his final game for the pink-clad squad in its failed bid to win the title against the Ryukyu Golden Kings at Ariake Colosseum.
The Akita native will fill the Albirex's coaching vacancy after they did not renew Fujitaka "Bomber" Hiraoka's contract for the 2015-16 season.
