Japan midfielder Shinji Kagawa was on target for the second game in a row as Borussia Dortmund beat Eintracht Frankfurt 2-0 in the German first division on Saturday to move a step closer to Europa League qualification.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang opened the scoring with a brilliant chipped penalty and Kagawa completed victory from close range shortly after the half-hour mark, tucking home Aubameyang's assist after a textbook counterattack.

Victory moved Dortmund within three points of the Europa League places.

Japan's two-time World Cup captain Makoto Hasebe put in a full shift for Frankfurt, while Takashi Inui came on as a second-half substitute.
