Tsukasa Umesaki headed the winner as Urawa Reds came from a goal down to edge Yokohama F Marinos 2-1 at home on Saturday to reclaim sole possession of the lead in the J-League first division.

Reds, the only team in the top flight yet to lose in the young season have 14 points from six games, but FC Tokyo, which had started the day tied at the top, saw its unbeaten run come to an end with a 2-1 defeat at home to two-time champions Sanfrecce Hiroshima.

Urawa is a point clear of treble winners Gamba Osaka, who won 2-0 away to Shonan Bellmare courtesy of goals from free-scoring Japan striker Takashi Usami and national team record caps winner Yasuhito Endo.
