Chelsea target Yoshinori Muto lived up to his billing with the winning goal as FC Tokyo beat Shonan Bellmare 1-0 on Sunday to move joint-top of the J. League table.
All eyes were on Muto at BMW Stadium after Tokyo president Naoki Ogane revealed earlier in the week that Premier League leader Chelsea had made a formal offer for the 22-year-old.
Muto, who spent the early part of the week recovering from neck and back injuries, did not disappoint, heading home a Kosuke Ota cross in the 64th minute to give Tokyo an identical record to Urawa Reds in first place after Urawa drew 1-1 with Kawasaki Frontale.
