The Hamamatsu Higashimikawa Phoenix outlasted the Osaka Evessa on Saturday night, winning 80-76.

The Phoenix (31-6) are in a three-way tie for first place in the bj-league's 10-team Western Conference along with the defending champion Ryukyu Golden Kings and Kyoto Hannaryz.

Hamamatsu forced 24 turnovers and improved to 17-4 at home.

Mo Charlo paced the hosts with 24 points, 12 rebounds and seven assists. He also made three steals, sharing the team lead in that category with Olu Ashaolu and Jermaine Green.

Ashaolu added 20 points and Shingo Okada had 13. Shinnosuke Oishi dished out five assists for the Phoenix in Kosai, Shizuoka Prefecture.

For Osaka (22-15), Josh Dollard had 23 points, 11 rebounds and seven turnovers. Shota Konno scored 15 points and Seth Tarver and Gary Hamilton both had 10.

"Tough overtime lost tonight," Dollard wrote on Facebook. "We had the (game) right in our hands, we just got (to) clean up a few things, play with more (savvy) & confidence! We are in good hands ... Back at it tomorrow!..."

Hannaryz 75, Lakestars 57

In Moriyama, Shiga Prefecture, Reggie Warren's 16-point, 12-rebound, five-assist effort guided Kyoto to a convincing victory over the Lakestars.

Hannaryz forward David Palmer scored 14 points, Ryan Forehan-Kelly had 11 and Kyosuke Setoyama added 10 points. Shingo Utsumi chipped in with eight points and Shun Watanuki finished with seven points, seven assists and five steals.

Terrance Woodbury paced Shiga (22-13) with 15 points. Yu Okada and Yutaka Yokoe both scored 10 and Ray Nixon had nine.

The teams shot a combined six free throws.

Golden Kings 87, Five Arrows 72

In Takamatsu, Ryukyu crashed the boards early and often and won the overall rebounding battle 57-37.

Ryuichi Kishimoto was 3-for-3 from 3-point land and scored a team-best 18 points for the Golden Kings. Draelon Burns chipped in with 17 points and Anthony McHenry and Kibwe Trim each had 12 points. Trim grabbed a team-high 12 rebounds.

Anthony Kent added 10 points and had three of Ryukyu's nine blocked shots. Forward Hiromasa Omiya rejected three shots and McHenry swatted two. Floor leader Narito Namizato came off the bench and delivered seven points, seven rebounds and five assists.

Takamatsu's Dexter Lyons scored 24 points and Justin Watts had 14. Koki Yabuuchi and Masaaki Suzuki both had nine points for the Five Arrows (10-27).

Big Bulls 87, Wat's 54

In Hachinohe, Aomori Prefecture, Iwate held the hosts to 20-for-65 shooting from the floor and dominated in the second half.

The Eastern Conference-leading Big Bulls (30-7) led 38-32 at the break, and then outscored the Wat's 49-22 the rest of the way.

Scootie Randall had a team-high 21 points and doled out six assists for Iwate. Lawrence "Trend" Blackledge added 18 points and blocked three shots. Masato Tsukino had 13 points and five assists and Wayne Arnold scored 10 points. Jun Nakanishi and Shota Onodera both had eight points. Nakanishi also dished out five assists.

Gyno Pomare led Aomori (19-18) with 20 points, Gordon Klaiber scored 13 and Kyle Richardson had 10.

89ers 106, Cinq Reves 66

In Shiroishi, Miyagi Prefecture, Sendai's offense clicked with precision passes and hot shooting as the 89ers overwhelmed Tokyo.

Sendai (23-14) rang up 30 assists on 43 field goals. Coach Shuto Kawachi's team converted 9 of 17 3-pointers and made 34 of 56 shots from inside the arc.

Kejuan Johnson finished with 26 points and 12 assists for the 89ers, who led 54-25 at halftime. Wendell White had 25 points, including 4-for-5 from long range, 11 rebounds and nine assists. Big man Jeral Davis added 21 points and blocked seven shots for the second straight game. Fumiya Sato scored 12 points and Takehiko Shimura dished out six assists in the rout.

For Tokyo (5-30), Will Foster scored 18 points and hauled in 13 rebounds and Zane Knowles had 16 points and 11 boards. Kenji Kanai scored 11 points and Jemal Farmer added nine.

Davis and Foster share the league lead in blocks per game (3.1).

The Cinq Reves shot 27-for-75 from the floor and had 21 turnovers.

B-Corsairs 85, Firebonds 68

In Fukushima, Warren Niles scored 25 points on 10-for-13 shooting and Carl Hall contributed 16 points and 12 rebounds as Yokohama topped the undermanned Firebonds.

Wayne Marshall scored 15 points and Dzaflo Larkai had nine points and eight boards for the B-Corsairs (9-26). Kenji Yamada handed out eight assists.

Yokohama was 26-for-41 from 2-point range.

Masaya Karimata had 20 points, including six 3-pointers, seven assists and four steals for Fukushima (12-25). James Hughes added 16 points and Edward Morris had 15 points and 10 boards. Takumi Masuko scored 10 points for the Firebonds, who played without standouts Verdell Jones III and Terrance Shannon. Jones was listed as injured in the box score.

Albirex BB 80, Grouses 77

In Toyama, Patrick Sullivan had a 17-point outing and Thomas Kennedy and Russell Carter both scored 15 as Niigata edged the Grouses.

Stephan Van Treese added 11 points and Kimitake Sato scored nine for the Albirex (23-14).

Sam Willard paced Toyama (26-11) with 23 points, Joe Werner had 17 points and 10 rebounds and Takeshi Mito scored 15 points. Jermaine Dixon added nine points and Tatsunori Fujie had six assists.

Brave Warriors 100, Northern Happinets 94 (OT)

In Matsumoto, Nagano Prefecture, Shinshu's Junki Kano shot a perfect 5-for-5 from 3-point range, sparking the hosts in an overtime triumph over Akita.

Kano finished with 22 points. Patrick Sanders, who attempted 15 3s (five makes) had 25 points and 10 rebounds for the Brave Warriors (15-20), while DeVaughn Washington chipped in with 20 points, nine rebounds and five assists. Mohamed Abukar added 18 points and five assists for the hosts and Takato Saito contributed seven points and five assists.

The Happinets' Richard Roby scored 39 points, collected 12 rebounds and distributed six assists. Yuto Otsuka had 15 points and Deshawn Stephens and Shigehiro Taguchi each had 10. Ryosuke Mizumachi dished out six assists.

Akita fell to 29-8.

Rizing 99, Bambitious 94

In Fukuoka, nine-time All-Star Cohey Aoki had a vintage 30-point performance, a game in which his all-around shooting skills were on display.

Aoki was 10-for-10 at the line, 7-for-9 from 2-point range and 2-for-3 from beyond. He had four assists while playing all 40 minutes as the Rizing (9-28) try to resurrect their season and make a late playoff run under coach Joe Bryant.

Josh Peppers added 25 points, 10 boards and five assists, John Humphrey scored 14 points and Kirk Van Slyke finished with 12.

Chehales Tapscott led Nara (10-27) with 27 points and 11 rebounds. Tatsuya Suzuki had 18 points and 12 assists and Taishi Kasahara and Michael St. John both scored 14 points.

Susanoo Magic 63, HeatDevils 56

In Beppu, Oita Prefecture, Isiah Brown's double-double and tenacious defense lifted Shimane to a victory over the HeatDevils.

Brown had 13 points and 15 rebounds. Teammates Joe Chapman and Edward Yamamoto scored 15 and 13 points, respectively.

The Magic (13-24) held Oita to 22-for-62 shooting.

Todd O'Brien paced the HeatDevils (13-24) with 19 points and 13 rebounds and Demetri McCamey had 11 points.
