The Tokyo Organizing Committee of the Olympics and Paralympics Games on Friday submitted its Games Foundation Plan for the 2020 Tokyo Games to the IOC and released it to the public on its official website.
The Game Foundation Plan for the Tokyo Games consists of seven chapters, explaining the 2020 Olympic vision, preparation schedule and estimated budget plan.
According to the Game Foundation Plan, the emblem of the Tokyo Games will be announced later this year, followed by the launch of the mascot in 2016. The torch relay course will be set and announced the year before the Tokyo Games. Tickets will go on sale at some time in 2019.
The 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games are scheduled to start on July 24 and end on Aug. 9. The Paralympics will run from Aug. 25-Sept. 6.
Every Olympic committee has had a Game Foundation Plans before, but this is the first time it will be open to the public.
