Japan will host its Fed Cup World Group II playoff fixture in April against Belarus at Ariake Colosseum, the Japan Tennis Association decided on Thursday.
Japan's women, led by world no. 44 Kurumi Nara, blasted through the Asia-Oceania Zone Group I competition this month in Guangzhou, China, without losing a single match.
Belarus, led by world No. 49 Victoria Azarenka, dropped just one match en route to winning the Europe-Africa Group 1 tournament.
The playoff, set for April 18 and 19, will be the second meeting between the two countries, with Belarus defeating Japan 2-0 in 1999 in a World Group qualifying playoff.
