Kei Nishikori will be the top seed when he makes his bid for a third consecutive title in the Memphis Open starting Monday.

The 25-year-old Nishikori, who has a first-round bye, received the No. 1 seed in the singles draw announced on Friday. It will be his first tournament since reaching the quarterfinals of the Australian Open.

In the second round, Nishikori will play the winner of the first-round match between Tunisia's Malek Jaziri and a qualifier.

The Memphis Open was known until last year as the U.S. National Indoor Tennis Championships.
