The Shiga Lakestars clicked on offense in their series opener against the Bambitious Nara on Saturday night.
Jeff Parmer and Ryota Kobayashi both doled out six assists and four Lakestars scored in double figures in an 85-73 triumph over Nara in Hikone, Shiga Prefecture.
Yu Okada paced Shiga (16-7) with 21 points and sank a game-high three 3-pointers, and Terrance Woodbury poured in 20 points. Parmer, bj-league MVP and tone-setter for the Hamamatsu Higashimikawa Phoenix's 2010-11 title team, finished with 15 points, seven rebounds and three steals. Center Chris Holm supplied 10 points and eight rebounds, while forward Ray Nixon had an eight-point effort.
