Former Tokyo Apache and NBA big man Robert Swift's legal troubles are growing. He was arrested on suspicion of robbing a home in Snohomish County, Washington, on Tuesday, according to published reports.
The 216-cm Swift, who has confessed he's addicted to heroin, and another man wore masks as they "attempted to rob a home in broad daylight," kirotv.com reported.
Swift, 29, was armed at the time of the arrest, sources told KIRO TV.
He was ordered to appear in King County Superior Court in November on gun charges, but failed to show up. Swift was later booked into King County Jail.
Last October, police raided the Kirkland, Washington, home where Swift lived and seized a cache of guns, including a grenade launcher, and drugs. The home's owner, Trygve Bjorkstam, who has said Swift provided him muscle, faces federal drug charges, which includes dealing drugs 100 meters from an elementary school.
Swift played for the now-defunct Apache during the team's final bj-league season, 2010-11. In the NBA, Swift suited up for the Seattle SuperSonics and Oklahoma City Thunder between 2004 and 09.
