Center Jeral Davis, who led the bj-league in blocked shots for three straight seasons (2010-11, 2011-12 and 2012-13), will join the Sendai 89ers this week, league sources have confirmed.
Davis is scheduled to arrive in Japan on Wednesday.
Sendai (10-6) is in fourth place in the 12-team Eastern Conference.
The 216-cm Davis played for the Shimane Susanoo Magic from 2010-14. He sustained a hip injury last season and was sidelined from February until the end of the season. He finished with 2.7 blocks per game, No. 2 in the fledgling circuit.
