Led by newcomer Keyon Carter's 20-point performance and Masashi Joho's 15 points, the visiting Toyama Grouses defeated the Tokyo Cinq Reves 77-71 on Monday to complete a series sweep.
The Grouses, the reigning Eastern Conference regular-season bj-league champion, held Tokyo to nine fourth-quarter points and improved to 3-1.
Carter, an Old Dominion product, shot 9-for-12 from the field. Joho drained 3 of 7 3-pointers. Takeshi Mito and Joe Werner each scored 11 points, the latter adding nine rebounds and two steals. Tatsunori Fujie poured in eight points in Hachioji, Tokyo Prefecture.
