The Chiba Jets' 20-game losing streak ended on Saturday with an 81-57 victory over the Tsukuba Robots in the NBL.
Coach Reggie Geary's squad outscored the host Robots 21-4 in the opening quarter, using a 26-0 run to take a 28-4 lead early in the second stanza.
Alan Wiggins Jr. paced Chiba (5-20) with 25 points and grabbed 15 rebounds, Thomas Kennedy and Yuki Ueta poured in 14 points apiece and Hiroki Sato had 10.
Tsukuba (6-19) trailed 47-17 at halftime.
The Jets scored 40 points in the paint; the Robots had 16.
Chiba held a 53-40 edge in rebounds and finished with 20 assists and six turnovers.
Hiroya Ogane paced Tsukuba with 22 points.
The teams square off again on Sunday. Tipoff is 3 p.m.
