Kenjiro Nomura on Tuesday signed a one-year, ¥70 million extension to manage the Hiroshima Carp for what will be his fourth season.
The Carp finished fourth in the Central League this year with a 61-71 record, 26½ games out of first place. They have never played in the Climax Series.
"Now that the contract is out of the way, I can focus on doing everything I can to help the team win," Nomura said.
