Brain Wolfe pitched his first complete-game victory in Japan, and Micah Hoffpauir and Yoshio Itoi both homered as the Hokkaido Nippon Ham Fighters routed the Orix Buffaloes 7-1 on Thursday night.

Wolfe (7-9) struck out nine and walked none in an efficient 93-pitch outing at Sapporo Dome. Hayato Terahara (6-8) was shelled for seven runs in two innings.

Hoffpauir capped a five-run first with a three-run blast and Itoi's two-run drive extended the lead in the second. Atsunori Inaba and Yang Dai-kang also drove in runs for the Pacific League-leading Fighters.
