Shunichi Nemoto and Katsuya Kakunaka had back-to-back RBI hits in the seventh inning Sunday, lifting the Chiba Lotte Marines to a 2-1 victory over the Hokkaido Nippon Ham Fighters.
Nemoto drove in a runner from first on a one-out triple to right-center, and scored on Kakunaka's single to center to make it 2-0 against reliever Toshiharu Moriuchi (0-1) at Sapporo Dome.
Makoto Kaneko hit an RBI single with two outs in the ninth, but the Fighters came up short.
