Akiyama's second home run in as many days capped a four-run seventh inning that gave the Lions a 5-1 lead at Seibu Dome after Chris Carter singled in the go-ahead run with a pinch-hit RBI single.

Kishi (8-8) allowed one run and four hits, striking out seven and walking three. Orix's 2012 opening day starter Alfredo Figaro (0-5) remained winless after giving up three runs in 6⅔ innings.
