Shota Ono's two-run, ninth-inning double broke a 1-1 tie and lifted the Hokkaido Nippon Ham Fighters to a 3-1 come-from-behind victory over the Orix Bufalloes on Saturday.

Tomohiro Nioka's pinch-hit RBI single in the seventh evened the score in a pitchers' duel between Fighters lefty Mitsuo Yoshikawa and Buffaloes right-hander Yuki Nishi after Lee Dae Ho broke the ice with an RBI single in the sixth.

Nishi came out after the eight innings, having allowing seven hits but no walks, and the Fighters teed off against right-hander Yoshihisa Hirano (4-4). Sho Nakata, Atsunori Inaba and Yoh Daikan opened with three consecutive singles, and Ono doubled with one out.
