FC Tokyo defender Jang Hyun Soo, who had been set to play for South Korea in the London Olympics, will miss three months due to a knee injury, the J.League first-division side announced Thursday.

FC Tokyo said the 20-year-old Jang, who started five league games this season, suffered damage to the medial collateral ligament in his left knee. FC Tokyo is currently seventh in the league on 28 points from 18 games, eight points behind leaders Sanfrecce Hiroshima.
