Wide receiver Noriaki Kinoshita scored the winning touchdown on a 61-yard run in the third quarter, leading the Obic Seagulls to a 31-10 triumph over the Fujitsu Frontiers in the Pearl Bowl final on Monday at Tokyo Dome.
It was the Seagulls' first championship in the spring tournament since 2005 and fourth overall.
The victory extended Obic's winning streak during the spring and fall seasons to 26, including playoffs. Its last loss came in a 15-13 defeat to, ironically, the Frontiers in the 2010 Pearl Bowl final.
