Tadashi Settsu (6-2) allowed a run in eight innings to win his first interleague game of the season as the Hawks hammered the Carp 7-3 on Saturday afternoon.
Softbank had gone 0-8 with three ties since the team's last victory on May 23 against the Hiroshima Carp. The Hawks have not lost to the Carp since June 4, 2010.
