Daisuke Miura continued to hold the hot hand on Sunday, throwing his sixth straight quality start and helping the Yokohama BayStars snap a four-game losing streak.

The 38-year-old allowed a run in seven innings as the Central League-worst BayStars defeated the Pacific League's front-running Chiba Lotte Marines 6-1 at Yokohama Stadium. The Marines had won their previous six decisions.

Miura (5-1) stranded a runner at second in the top of the first and his teammates made it easy for him after that, scoring four times against Lotte youngster Yuki Karakawa (5-2) in the home half of the inning.
