Young right-hander Ryosuke Miyaguni stymied his opponent all night, throwing his first career shutout in the Yomiuri Giants' 5-0 victory over the Hiroshima Carp on Tuesday.
Second-year pro Miyaguni, who turned 20 on April 17, gave the Giants fans more than they bargained for with an electric outing and some heads-up batting at the plate.
Yomiuri won its first in four meetings against Hiroshima this season.
