Japan coach Alberto Zaccheroni has handed Jubilo Iwata striker Hiroki Yamada, Kashiwa Reysol defender Wataru Hashimoto and FC Tokyo midfielder Hideto Takahashi their first callups for a three-day training camp beginning Monday in Chiba Prefecture.

Zaccheroni named a 23-man squad of domestic-based players Sunday that also includes Cerezo Osaka striker Hiroshi Kiyotake and four other players from the Under-23 national team that has qualified for this summer's London Olympics.

Seasoned veterans Yasuhito Endo, Yuichi Komano and Yasuyuki Konno are also in the squad.

The camp serves as part of Japan's preparations for the final round of Asian qualifiers for the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.

Japan has been drawn with Jordan, Iraq, Oman and Australia in Group B. The Asian champions open the final round at home to Oman on June 3.
