Minoru Iwata won a battle of lefties against Brandon Mann and Yamato Maeda went 3-for-5 with six RBIs as the Hanshin Tigers avoided a three-game sweep with an 11-3 drubbing of the Yokohama BayStars on Sunday.

Maeda delivered a bases-clearing triple in the fifth inning and Hanshin did more damage in a four-run seventh, pounding out 12 hits en route to denying Yokohama its first series sweep of the season.

Mann (0-3) got banged around in the opening frame and was given the hook after giving up four runs in four innings. Iwata (1-3) yielded three runs and six hits in five innings for the win.
