They got exactly what they wanted with a two-run homer by Shuichi Murata in the eighth inning to break open a close game in a 5-1 victory over the Chunichi Dragons on Wednesday night.
Yomiuri starter Dicky Gonzalez pitched six effective innings in his first start of the season, and Shinnosuke Abe delivered a tiebreaking single in a 10-hit attack at Tokyo Dome.
