After leaving Japan on Thursday, veteran point guard Kenny Satterfield, under contract with the bj-league's Saitama Broncos, is poised to join Gigantes de Guyana, the Venezuelan League team announced late Friday night.
According to published reports, a deal is expected to be finalized for Satterfield's transfer to Gigantes de Guyana on Saturday.
Satterfield, a former NBA point guard, leads the bj-league in assists (6.7 per game). Disgruntled about his playing time and fed up with his role on the team, he was a no-show for last Sunday's home game against the Sendai 89ers.
