Kenichi Nakata pitched two-run ball over four fitful innings, Yohei Oshima broke out his bat in a 4-for-4 outing and the Chunichi Dragons routed the Orix Buffaloes in a 19-hit onslaught on Sunday.

Nakata, who is aiming for a spot in the rotation, yielded six hits, struck out two and walked none and closer Hitoki Iwase threw two scoreless frames in Chunichi's 11-3 preseason victory at Kyocera Dome.

Alfredo Figaro was tagged for eight runs in five shaky innings.

Veteran Chunichi slugger Takeshi Yamasaki, who played for the disaster-hit Tohoku Rakuten Golden Eagles up until last season, collected donations to go toward reconstruction efforts before the game, which fell on the first anniversary of the Great East Japan Earthquake.

"There is still so much work to do for reconstruction. We have to think about what we can do as baseball players to contribute to the recovery," said Yamasaki.
