Nagoya Grampus allowed Seongnam Ilhwa to equalize on the last touch of the game as Dragan Stojkovic's side drew 2-2 in its Asian Champions League Group G opener on Wednesday night.

A vintage overhead shot in the dying seconds by Brazilian striker Heverton, who also scored the first for the K-League heavyweights early in the second half, denied Grampus victory as the 2009 semifinalists settled for a point before their home crowd.

Josh Kennedy opened his 2012 account by leveling from the spot shortly before the hour, and Mu Kanazaki had made it 2-1 in the 74th minute before Heverton produced his late show.

Stojkovic put out his best team for its first match of the year but it was slow coming off the blocks, allowing the visitors to move in front in the 47th minute.

But Heverton literally had the last laugh as he wheeled on a cross from the right in the 94th minute, giving Seongnam a point to take back to South Korea.
