Japan boss Alberto Zaccheroni said Monday he was looking forward to casting an eye over his national team charges and also hoping to unearth new talent during the new J. League season kicking off this weekend.
"I am so pleased that the season is finally starting," the Italian coach told reporters.
"I want to take a look at how my national team players are getting along both physically and technically and I am also looking forward to making some new discoveries too. Maybe we will see players emerge from promoted teams like (Kashiwa Reysol defender Hiroki) Sakai and (Vitesse Arnhem striker Mike) Havenaar did last season.
"The J. League is one of the best leagues in the world in terms of the amount of youngsters getting playing time. This season I plan to watch every single team in the first division."
