Reliever Koji Uehara has refused a potential trade from the Texas Rangers to the Toronto Blue Jays, ESPN Dallas reported Tuesday night.

According to the report, Uehara's contract includes a limited no-trade clause allowing him to reject trades to six teams, one of which is Toronto.

Uehara played most of the 2011 season for the Baltimore Orioles before being traded to Texas at the July 31 deadline.

The 36-year-old posted a 1.72 ERA last year in 43 games with Baltimore, but struggled in three postseason appearances with the Rangers. He gave up five earned runs in just 1⅓ innings and was not included in the Rangers' World Series roster.
