An impressive number of fans came out to see the 25th Japan X Bowl. What they got instead were tickets to the Noriaki Kinoshita show.
The Obic Seagulls receiver scored three touchdowns to help give his team the lead, and linebacker Masayoshi Tsukada sealed the victory with an interception in the end zone with 18 seconds left as the Seagulls rallied to beat the Fujitsu Frontiers 24-17 in the X Bowl on Monday at Tokyo Dome.
The Seagulls are X League champions for the second consecutive season and sixth time overall. Fujitsu, still searching for its first title, lost in the X Bowl for the fourth time.
