Julius Ashby scored 25 points and Ray Nixon poured in 22 as the Shiga Lakestars routed the Yokohama B-Corsairs 91-71 on Friday in the bj-league.
The Lakestars (13-6), who led 30-28 at halftime, scored 61 second-half points. Dionisio Gomez added 13 points and Josh Peppers had 12 for Shiga. Yu Okada chipped in with seven points and Takamichi Fujiwara and Shinya Ogawa each dished out five assists on a makeshift court at Yokohama International Swimming Pool.
For the B-Corsairs (7-10), Chas McFarland had a team-high 19 points and Justin Burrell scored 16. Marcus Simmons and Giyoh Shey each scored eight points and Masayuki Kabaya had seven. The series shifts to Hiratsuka, Kanagawa Prefecture, on Saturday.
