Japan striker Mike Havenaar looks set to move to Bundesliga side Wolfsburg, German newspaper Wolfsburger Allgemeine reported Friday.

The 24-year-old towering forward has been linked with not only Wolfsburg but also other European clubs such as Germany's Stuttgart and Vitesse Arnhem of the Netherlands.

Japan captain Makoto Hasebe is a member of Wolfsburg.

Another German newspaper, Bild, said Wolfsburg is in talks with Havenaar and he is one of the four players on manager Felix Magath's wishlist.

Havenaar broke into the Japan national team this year and scored twice in his first start in an 8-0 win over Tajikistan in a World Cup qualifier in October.
