Jung Hyung Sik had a go-ahead two-run single to spark a five-run fifth inning as the Samsung Lions of South Korea came from behind to beat the Japan Series champion Fukuoka Softbank Hawks 5-3 in the final of the Asia Series on Tuesday.

Samsung became the first team outside of Japan to win the Asia Series.

Jung turned a 1-0 deficit into a 2-1 lead with his bases-loaded hit to center off Sho Iwasaki with one out in the fifth, Park Sok Min added a run-scoring double and two more runs scored against Taiwanese reliever Yang Yao-xun on shortstop Munenori Kawasaki's error.
